This is great time to fall in love with this amazing tasting muffin recipe.  This Hair Growth Apple Coconut Carrot Muffin recipe won’t just taste great but it is also beneficial to your hair.  This recipe is one of my family’s favorite things to eat for breakfast and as snack throughout the day.  Especially during the cold months accompanied with one of our favorite hot beverage .  Eating healthy things like these muffins will have your hair looking amazing before you know it.   If you are like me and are truly dedicated to growing and maintaining long healthy hair, recipes like these muffins make it a whole lot easier to achieve.

The more you incorporate recipes in your diet that include all the needed nutrients to supply your hair with what it needs.  Your hair will have nothing else to do but give you what you want, long beautiful healthy hair.  It’s just that simple, but I had to learn this the hard way.  Probably like so many out there, if you’re anything like I was – buying and putting so many different things on my hair in hopes that it would grow my hair longer.  Especially knowing the holidays are soon approaching, with family gatherings and holiday parties.  Every year I wanted it to be the year I was seen with such long flowing hair.  But no matter what I put on my hair, nothing changed.  In fact, sometimes these products made things worse and I had to end up cutting my hair and start all over again.   This was until I started researching and even developing recipes like this one.

I learned the hard way that it’s not only about what you put on your hair but also what you put in your body that contributes to achieving long beautiful healthy hair.  So simple yet so difficult for so many to put together.  I found a great book called Eat Your Way To Longer Thicker Hair this recipe book has just been amazing for my family and I finally  to get the hair of our dreams.  I love that these recipes are easy to follow and taste amazing.  I totally forget these this recipe and so many other are healthy and filled of nutrients for hair growth, because they are just that delicious! And that just makes it all the better.

Amazing Apple Coconut Carrot Muffins Recipe – 

Servings: 12-15
Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Eat Your Way To Longer Thicker Hair

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup unprocessed oat bran
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2  eggs
  • 6 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 cup finely grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup grated or diced baking apples (such as Granny Smith)
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut or coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Cooking Instructions –

Preheat oven to 350.

Sift together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, then whisk in honey, molasses, milk and oil, in that order. Make a well in dry ingredients, pour liquid into the well and stir with a fork or whisk just until combined. Add carrots, apples, coconut and walnuts (if desired).

Pour into greased or paper lined muffin pans, filling each cup about 3/4 full. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serve warm

Homey- honey’s antioxidant and antibacterial properties help improve the digestive system and boost immunity. It is also a powerhouse of antioxidants, which are very effective for the removal of free radicals from the body which in turn is all great for hair growth.

Molasses- many of the minerals found in blackstrap molasses such as manganese, zinc, and selenium are well-known for their anti-aging benefits. These antioxidants that can eliminate or reduce free radicals in the hair, allowing it to grow smoother and longer.

 Carrots- they are packed with vitamin A and vitamin E, both of which help improve blood circulation on your scalp. This, in turn, promotes hair growth and protects you from premature greying.

Apples-  apples are also packed with antioxidants that neutralize free radicals and help with cell renewal. There’s also a compound, found in all varieties of apples, called “procyanidin B-2,” that promotes hair growth.

All in All –  If your goal is to truly have the hair of your dreams, you always have to be mindful of what you eat.  As much as you can, feed your hair what it needs to thrive  and you will finally have the outcome you desire.
