Boysenberry Grow Hair Pops

It is the perfect time to grow-out your hair.  Countless studies shown that our hair seems to grows easier in the warmer moths. This theory mainly goes for those places that experience season changes.  Because if you ever paid attention, those people that live in tropical weather tend to have healthier hair than those that live in colder climates.  Maybe it’s the moisture in the air in these warmer months, or maybe less clothes for your hair to rub-up on and break-off.  What ever the reason this recipe is here to aid your hair growth goals. 

Aside from this being a absolutely delicious, it also has dual benefits.  The ingredients in these Boysenberry Grow Hair Pops are wonderful for hair growth.  The main ingredient being Boysenberries, and Boysenberries contain a great amount of dietary fiber, vitamin K and an awesome amount of minerals including manganese, iron, calcium and potassium.This Powerhouse of a berry is packed full with so many vitamins and nutrients that improve our hair and nails.

Makes:  8 pops

Ingredients 

1 cup frozen boysenberries
4 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
2 cups (500g) unsweetened Greek yogurt
The finely grated zest of 1 lemon
1/2 cup gluten-free muesli (a mixture of rolled oats, dried fruit, and nuts)

Directions –

Combine boysenberries in a small saucepan with 1 tablespoon of the honey, cover with a lid and cook on low until defrosted. Remove lid, increase heat slightly and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat, crush berries lightly, then set aside to cool.

Combine yogurt with remaining 3 tablespoons honey and lemon zest. Mix well. Divide berries evenly between ice block molds, top with the lemon yogurt, then spoon a little granola on top of each, pressing down lightly to help it stick into the yogurt.

Insert wooden sticks and freeze 4 hours or overnight. Run under warm water to help release pops from the molds.
